Ok. This is SO overdue. Pardon me for my laziness please. Work is just too tiring. hehe.
Right. Anyways.. As those of you who reads my blog knows, I had tried a product call “Baby Foot” which promises you baby smooth skin on your feet after using it by peeling your accumulated dead skin off.

Mental Sketchbook: Beauty Verdict Day 5 to Day 11
GENERAL INTEREST: CHEMICAL-FREE SHAVING
_________________
Inspired by joyslice, we asked some volunteers to dump the nasty synthetic chemicals in their shaving cream (eweh!) and to try shaving with olive oil for two days. The findings of three males (one with a heavy beard) and two females: a resounding Thumbs Up! “Not only an amazingly, surprisingly close shave, but the skin is fantastically moisturized when finished shaving. And no feeling like you have to scrub the synthetic chemicals off your skin!”
So there you have it.

This is the best matte bronzer that I have ever spent money on. It was only about $3.00 at Target. I wear it everyday, and lots of times by itself. Great summer makeup must-have.

I bought some new beauty products to try today. I’m not generally the type of girl who wears make up or anything, but I like to try and take good care of my skin. Try is of course, the operative word as none of the products I’ve been using have been very effective.
I have really pale skin but it scars easily so I picked up a couple products that are supposed to have “skin whitening” properties. Today I bought a cleanser and cream by a company called Skin Food and yesterday I purchased a box of 10 yogurt sheet masks from My Beauty Diary.
After initially fumbling around with the mask last night trying to figure out how to unfold and apply it, I was able to apply it after some head scratching. The yogurt smell was subtle which I liked because I am not a fan of heavily scented or perfumed products. The mask also felt really cool and refreshing which is great in the hot humid climate I’m currently in. The instructions were all written in Chinese so I googled up an english translation. I kept the mask on for 30 minutes and then once removing it, I rubbed in the excess serum into my skin.
I didn’t notice a huge difference, but it did make my face feel very soft. There was also a little less redness than before. Perhaps with continued use, it will have a longer, lasting effect.
Tonight I’ll try out the Skin Food products and see how they work. They were a little on the pricier side (about $48CDN for a cleanser and moisturizer). However this company (supposedly) uses all natural ingredients in their products and I feel more comfortable putting plant extracts on my face rather than assorted chemicals. Of course, the ingredient list is all in Korean so everything I know is based on googled information.
The packaging looks really nice though?

My sister swears by this Beauty Rush by Victoria’s Secret. The slice of heaven is the best/sweetest vanilla scent and I have been looking for any other “vanilla” product to top it. I am calmed with the smell of my vanilla candles so I really want a perfume and soap that is just as good.
I can’t find the slice of heaven anymore and I am so scared it was discontinued. I love it so much. Both the glittery shower gel and body mist are amazing (and running dangerously low.) If anyone knows anything, let me know!!
