eyelash growth
ok…i reaaaaally dont like sharing info on stuff that i use but i think this is pretty cool. if u’ve been following me on twitter for a while u know that i had some issues with my eyelashes. in 2008 i was referred to this fantabulous salon in silver spring maryland (eternal day spa located inside of wheaton mall…ask for crystal) that kinda specialized in fake eyelashes. they were full and very luxurious lasted forever and actually looked natural. i got compliments wherever i went. i LOVED them and wore them for ALL of 2009. now as great as they were, over time i noticed that my real eyelashes were thinning out…so much so that they were almost non-existent. not to mention i had to alter a lot to have these fake eyelashes. i couldnt get my eyes wet so i had to be extra careful while washing my face or while in the shower (i had to clean the area around my eyes with a dry q-tip), there were times i wanted to cry either because of my mom or some other things that were going on and wouldnt allow myself to do so because i didnt want to mess up my lashes (extreme i know) and last summer when i went to the beach i bought a big ass pair of scuba diving goggles just to protect these damn eyelashes! then there was the cost for the maintenance of the lashes and the hours i sat in the chair having them applied. it was all too much.
so finally in january 2010 i said to hell with it!!! i loved the look and everything about the fake eyelashes but i just couldnt do it anymore. i had been wearing fake eyelashes for over a year and i just felt it was ridiculous. so i had them removed. and i hated my whole entire FACE! its funny because u never really realize how much of a difference eyelashes can make. i looked like a damn plucked chicken. i didnt want anyone looking at me for real and started wearing heavy liner on my top lid just to create that look of having SOMETHING there. (tryna keep it short sorry!!!) about a week after i had the lashes removed i started using latisse. im sure some of yall have seen the commercials. anyway i just want to say that this product really works wonders. i dont know what the hell is in it or if ima go blind in a year BUT what i do know is i have long pretty lashes ;) the bottle is smaller than a bottle of white out and costs abt the same as a good sewn in weave but what the hell….u only live once right?!
